READY IN MÄLARDALEN
With the project ”Ready in Mälardalen,” we want to increase knowledge about preparedness issues among residents within the Leader Mälardalen area. The project aims to contribute to increased cooperation and strengthen engagement to further develop local preparedness work in the community. The project runs from February 2026 to December 2027.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
GET READY TOGETHER
Inspiration meetings are held in the area's nine municipalities, one meeting per municipality in our area. Each meeting includes a lecture and a workshop led by an expert in preparedness. Participants also receive information from partners, the relevant municipality, and from Leader Mälardalen about the activities and the opportunity to apply for their own support for local preparedness efforts, within the umbrella project that we link to this implementation project, ”Small Project Support for Preparedness.”.
LOCAL MINIMARKETS
Mini-markets with a preparedness theme are organized at various local locations within the Leader Mälardalen area. The mini-markets are arranged in collaboration with local associations and give participants the opportunity to meet exhibitors focused on preparedness. Visitors can also try practical activities, such as water purification, food storage, and heating supply without electricity under the guidance of the Civil Defense Association Northern Mälardalen. The mini-markets are family-friendly activities aimed at creating new contacts and strengthening relationships in the local community.
