Finish

This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But perhaps it is the end of the beginning.

– Winston Churchill

Now it is time to report

You have now completed the activities in your project and hopefully achieved the goals. Great job! We usually see the conclusion of the project as actually the beginning of the continuation. To finish and report the project is also a time for reflection, evaluation, and further development of what you have accomplished. Hopefully, the results will last long and contribute to long-term effects!

Partial payment

You have the opportunity to apply for partial payments while the project is ongoing, once you have received a decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture. This is done on My Pages on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website. We recommend that you apply for partial payment as soon as you have paid some costs in the project. Since there is a waiting period between when you apply for payment and when you receive the money, it may be good for your liquidity to apply for payments several times during the project's course. This way, money comes in regularly, so there is room to pay more costs.

When applying for partial payment, you must submit receipts and proof of payment for all costs being reported. The Leader office knows more about what is needed for the reporting and is happy to look at your partial report before you submit it. During the project school, you will also receive more information about this.

Final report

When all activities have been completed and paid for, it is time for the final report of the project. In the Swedish Board of Agriculture's application system, you will need to answer a number of questions about what you have done and what the results were. You should then refer back to what you wrote in your project application.

The final report should also include receipts and proof of payment for the costs that have not yet been reported. The Leader office wants to see your final report before you submit it, so that we can help ensure that everything looks good. We can also review the financial documentation.

What happens after the project?

An important part of concluding the project is to reflect on how the results will be managed and become sustainable in the long term. You may need to further develop the long-term plans in the application or adjust them if the project's results were not as expected.

We recommend that you conduct an evaluation of the project and its activities. Did you reach your goals? Did the activities help you get closer to the project's purpose? What do you need to do now to get closer to the long-term goals? It is good to write this down so that the project group has a basis to work with. It is also valuable for the project's results and evaluation to be documented if new people join the ongoing management.
