Congratulations on receiving your project support approved! Now everyone in the project has an exciting and fun time ahead. The Leader office is available and can answer questions about the project throughout the project period.
Project school
If you have been granted a project, you will receive an invitation to participate in a project school with the Leader office. The project school covers information about advances on the support, how you report the voluntary contributions in the project, when and how the EU logo should be used, and how the project should be finalized.
Advance and partial payment
All Leader support is paid out afterwards against reporting of paid costs. However, there is an opportunity to apply for an advance from the Swedish Board of Agriculture for all private and non-profit project owners. The advance can be applied for once the official decision has been received from the Swedish Board of Agriculture. The advance can be used to pay the initial incurred costs, and thereafter the project can apply for partial payment.
Partial payment is good to apply for so that the project can receive liquid funds that can be used for upcoming costs. The partial payments have a waiting time of four to six months at the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
Voluntary time
The voluntary time is important in a Leader project. The time is valued as co-financing from the project participants. Each hour is valued at 340 SEK for everyone over 16 years old. The voluntary time contributed to the project should be recorded and compiled, for example in an Excel file. It is you as project owners who are responsible for storing and providing the documentation for the voluntary hours if an auditor wants to review these later. When reporting, you should send the compilation to the Leader office.
EU logo
When advertising and providing information about activities in the project, it is important that it is clear that it is a Leader project and funded by the EU. If you have a website, it should also be stated there that you are running a Leader project. On the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website, you can read more about which logos are required for different information options.
You should use the logo called EU logo (Co-financed by the European Union). It is also visible at the bottom of this page.
If things do not go as planned
Things do not always go as planned. Perhaps you realize that you will not achieve your set goals, that you need to do something different to get there, or that you will not finish on time. That's okay, it happens. The important thing is that you contact us so we can assess whether you need to apply for a change to the project in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's system. Report and conclude
When you have completed your activities, it is time for reporting and concluding the project.
