Painter and Art Circle

A free Painter & Art Circle for and with people with LSS in Håbo municipality. The initiative comes from an art enthusiast living in an LSS residence in Bålsta, who would like to do something for others living in LSS residences within Håbo municipality. She enjoys painting and creating and wants more people to meet to do it, for a more meaningful leisure time.

To create a meaningful leisure time and meeting point for people with LSS. Here, participants will be able to create and use their creativity and imagination. Through this, each individual grows, but also being part of a social context to be proud of and have fun together. There is not much to do in one's leisure time according to the initiator, and this project can create just that. Additionally, a network is developed for further collaboration where knowledge is gathered to start creative meeting points for and with the target group, and that this can become a method to use in the long term.

The goals are that the people involved will develop both in their own creation and as individuals by daring more and getting away in their leisure time. By inviting artists who can inspire and hold workshops in various art techniques, everyone in the group develops, and creative meetings between people occur. By having a concluding public vernissage to showcase what has been created and to feel participation, pride, and meaningfulness. Visitors also get an art experience and meet the artists behind it. Greater knowledge of painting, art, folk education, organizing vernissages.
